Changing or Extension of Indian Tourist Visa is a long and complicated process. No tourist has the right to remain in India even in the validity of Indian Tourist Visa. So, getting permission to stay in India beyond the initial visa time is not an easy task.

The Application to Extend or Change the Indian Tourist Visa should be made well in advance. It will take about three months to have the permission after all the verification. In urgent cases the application can be made at the Nodal office situated locally at the place of residence of Applicant.
