Pre marriage Counseling
Majority of our clients of this service are young couples. In most cases the parents or guardians of our clients are not being informed by the prospective husband and wife. We do not inform their parents if the age of prospective bride and groom is within legal boundaries and there is no other foul play such as kidnapping, abduction and force etc.
We counsel both parties regarding the legal aspect, personal aspect, social aspect and other changes after their marriage.
We counsel parties in four stages in one sitting, as the process of counseling is important for the effectiveness of so we can not just disclose the whole process here.
Our aim of that counseling is to make sure the honesty of couple and to check their commitment towards each other. The counseling process is usually takes one hour to complete.
Post marriage Counseling
Most couples have ups and downs in their marriages and it is natural and routine to sit back and try to analyze the bad situations. We try to answer their questions and solve their problems to sustain their marriage. Generally the problems with newly married couple are the lack of communication, over communication, ego problems, sometimes little abuse but mainly it is the peer pressure. We counsel and advise the couple to solve the problem and to sustain the marriage.
Other Post Marriage Services
We also provide optional post-marriage services such as:
- Name change (Complete Procedure)
There is too much confusing information as to the legal ways to get married in India specially about the Non-traditional marriages or Court marriages in India.
Non-Traditional Marriage
If both parties of marriage i.e. Prospective husband and wife are qualified and eligible to get married, they have two choices to get married.
- First is to get married as per their religious rites and later get that registered.
- Second is to get married under Special Marriage Act.
Things to Remember
- There is no such thing like "Marriage Deed".
- The so called 'Notarized Marriage' is not valid.
- Once married it can not be undone without proper divorce order.
- If the marriage is NOT with the consent of prospective wife's parents then it is advised to get an Advocate to avoid further trouble*.
