The Visa-on Arrival can be granted to a person if sole objective of visiting India is recreation, sight seeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives etc and no other purpose/ activity. That person should not have any place of residence and occupation in India.

 

The Visa would be valid only for the 30 days for only one single entry. The Visa-on-Arrival can be granted by the immigration officer only at the Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata Airports. Tourist Visa-on-Arrival shall be allowed for a maximum of two times in a calendar year to a foreigner with a minimum gap of two months between each visit.

 

The Tourist Visa on Arrival is generally non-extendable and non-convertible, however, in some certain circumstances it can be extended/converted
