As part of our Online Services, we register non-governmental and non-profit organizations under Section 6 of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) in India.
Under Section 6 of FCRA, any organization with a defined cultural, social, educational, religious, or economic purpose may only accept foreign contributions after obtaining FCRA registration.
Requirements
- Must be a duly registered organization for charitable purposes
- Must agree to receive foreign contributions through one specific bank account only
- Should have an active existence for the last three years (recommended, though only directory in nature)
Documents & Information We Need
- Applicant's name, address, status, district/ward circle, and PAN number
- Audited Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss / Income & Expenditure account for the latest year and all preceding years
- Certified copies of formation documents — trust deed, bylaws, memorandum of association, and registration certificate if applicable
- Names and addresses of everyone managing the organization, including those who've since left
- Details of any 10(23)(C) notification or 80G approval already granted
- Registration details of any parent, sister, or subsidiary organization already registered under FCRA
- Reference number of any earlier application, if applicable
- An annual report covering the organization's activities since inception
- A copy of any journal or other publication of the organization
- A copy of the Governing Body's resolution authorizing FCRA registration
- A copy of the Power of Attorney or Governing Body resolution authorizing the Chief Functionary to submit the FCRA application
- Details of any foreign contribution already received, with or without prior government approval
- Any other relevant information the organization wishes to provide
- Signed Authority Letter (download here)
- An undertaking letter from the Chief Functionary (we'll draft this)

FCRA Prior Permission
Organizations can also receive foreign contributions without full registration, by obtaining prior permission from the FCRA department for each individual contribution.
When Prior Permission Is Required or Recommended
- The organization doesn't hold a permanent FCRA registration number
- The FCRA registration number has been cancelled by the government
- The Central Government has instructed the organization to seek prior permission under Section 10
- The FCRA number is suspended due to a violation of FCRA provisions or conditions
- The organization is of a political nature, without being a political party
- A person in India, or an Indian citizen residing abroad, is receiving foreign funds on behalf of a politically natured organization
Requirements are the same as standard FCRA registration, plus:
- Details of the beneficiaries and the project the foreign contribution will fund, both narrative and financial
- A letter of commitment from the foreign donor agreeing in principle to provide funds

Refund Policy
Cancel within 2 days of ordering and we deduct 25% as a cancellation fee, refunding the balance with no questions asked; after that period, the service fee isn't refundable.
