Birth Certificate

As part of our 'Online Services,' we assist in obtaining the Birth Certificate for registered births on your behalf.


The NABC is generally not required within India, and municipal offices are typically aware of this. However, applying for the NABC at the relevant municipal office can sometimes be a bit costly.


The procedure to obtain a Birth Certificate starts with searching the Births and Deaths records at the relevant Municipality office, based on the applicant’s place and date of birth. This search is necessary to determine whether the birth is registered at the Municipality office.

If the birth was registered with a name, the Birth Certificate will be issued as per the details available in the Municipality's records. However, if the birth was registered without a name, the name can be recorded in some places by submitting a name inclusion form, along with an affidavit from the parents or a relative, copies of the school certificates (Class X or XII), proof of residence for the parent or applicant, and the applicant’s valid passport, subject to an additional fee.


Once issued, the BC, along with any other original documents (if applicable), will be shipped free of charge within India via a reputable courier service. We use only FedEx for international shipping and DTDC for domestic shipping.

Estimate Time for Completion

The estimated time for completion depends on the place and date of birth. In major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and Chennai, obtaining the Birth Certificate typically takes 30–40 business days. Smaller cities may require additional time, while remote areas may experience even longer processing times.
